By Ajay Devgn has unveiled the first poster of the third instalment of the Drishyam franchise, officially titled ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion.’
The film is set to release in theatres on October 2, 2026, marking what is being billed as the final chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story.
The poster features Devgn with only half of his face and one eye visible, accompanied by the line ‘Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai’ — my truth, my right, only my family.
Tabu is confirmed to reprise her role as IG Meera Deshmukh, continuing the cat-and-mouse dynamic between the two characters that has anchored the franchise since its first instalment.
The Hindi Drishyam series is itself based on the Malayalam original, which has also spawned a sequel confirmed by its lead actor Mohanlal.
With the franchise having built a loyal following over its first two instalments, the announcement has generated significant anticipation among fans for this concluding chapter.
The original Drishyam, released in 2013, and its 2022 sequel Drishyam 2 both became major box office successes, cementing the franchise as one of Bollywood’s most reliable thriller properties.
Both Hindi films were themselves official remakes of the Malayalam original starring Mohanlal, which has also spawned its own sequel in that language.
Details on the rest of the cast and the film’s plot have been kept under wraps, with the makers expected to release a full trailer closer to the October release date.
The franchise centres on Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his family after a crime linked to his daughter, with each instalment escalating the cat-and-mouse investigation led by Tabu’s character.
The role of Vijay Salgaonkar is widely regarded as among the more acclaimed performances of Devgn’s career, with the character’s low-key, methodical persona standing out from the actor’s more action-oriented roles.
The announcement of the title and release date drew an enthusiastic response from fans on social media, with the poster quickly trending following its release.
