By Pankaj Tripathi is set to receive the ‘Artist of Distinction’ honour at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026 for his work in Indian cinema.
This will be the first time the National Award-winning actor attends the festival in person to receive the honour.
The festival will be held from August 13 to 23, 2026, in Melbourne, Australia.
Rani Mukerji will also be honoured at IFFM 2026 with an Honorary Doctorate, with both actors headlining this year’s event.
Tripathi’s notable roles include Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, a National Award-winning performance in Mimi, and parts in Newton, Stree, Masaan, OMG 2 and Main Atal Hoon.
