Srinagar Airport flight timings remain cut to 8 am-5 pm till July 31

Srinagar Airport’s flight timings remain cut to an 8 am-5 pm window till July 31, as the Indian Air Force continues a runway upgrade that started on April 6.

This marks a temporary departure from the airport’s usual operating hours of 8 am to 10 pm.

About 60 flights, including both arrivals and departures, normally operate at the airport each day during the standard window.

The curtailed hours are intended to support the runway upgrade, aimed at improving operational efficiency and safety.

Authorities have said flight frequency is expected to increase in line with the summer schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation once the works are done.
