By The BHAVYA-Rasayan Scheme received Cabinet approval on Friday, with the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sanctioning Rs 3,030 crore for three dedicated Chemical Parks.
The scheme allots Rs 3,000 crore to common infrastructure facilities and basic utilities within the parks, and Rs 30 crore for administrative expenditure.
A Centre grant of up to Rs 1,000 crore per park will be provided, contingent on a minimum contribution of Rs 500 crore from the respective state government.
Each park must have a minimum contiguous area of 8 square kilometres, or about 2,000 acres, of land free of encumbrances.
The scheme was announced in the Union Budget for FY 2026-27 and will run for five years, through FY 2030-31, aiming to integrate India’s chemical industry into global value chains and reduce reliance on imports.
The parks will provide plug-and-play infrastructure with shared common facilities for chemical industry players.
