Spider-Man: Brand New Day has earned more than Rs 100 crore net in India within just two days of release, according to data from trade tracker Sacnilk. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and distributed by Sony Pictures, the Tom Holland-led film opened in Indian theatres on Thursday, July 30, 2026, a day before its global release on July 31.
On day one, the film collected Rs 60.60 crore net, with a gross figure of Rs 71.51 crore, an opening trade watchers called among the strongest for a Hollywood title in India this year.
The second day saw collections fall to Rs 49.35 crore net, an 18.6% drop from the opening day, even as the film screened across 16,902 shows with an occupancy of 64.8%.
That brings the two-day net total to Rs 109.95 crore, meaning the film has cleared the Rs 100 crore benchmark before even finishing its opening weekend.
The film is running in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions across Indian screens, a wide multi-language release designed to maximise its reach across the country.
Industry trackers say the weekend numbers will be the real test of whether the film can hold its pace as it heads into its first full week in theatres.
The film rounds out Tom Holland’s trilogy of solo Spider-Man features made in collaboration between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.
The film also stars Zendaya and Sadie Sink reprising their roles alongside Tom Holland, with the returning cast a key draw for opening-weekend audiences in India.
Trade analysts note that Thursday releases have become common practice for major Hollywood titles in India, allowing an extra day of collections before the traditional Friday-to-Sunday opening weekend window.
Multiplex chains reported houseful shows for evening and night slots in metro cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru through the first two days of release.
