ekincare’s broader research found that over 33% of Indians show early warning signs of chronic disease.
Many of these individuals appear healthy but carry markers linked to heart disease, obesity or diabetes.
The finding accompanied a separate report on young workforce cardiovascular risk.
That report found 58.5% of under-35 employees had at least one flagged heart risk marker in 2026.
Both findings were released around World Heart Day 2026.
The 58.5% figure for 2026 compares with 70.9% in 2023, a decline of 12.4 percentage points.
The report noted that the safer conclusion is that cardiovascular risk has not increased among young employees, rather than that their underlying health has clearly improved.
The report was released to coincide with World Heart Day, observed globally on September 29.
