By The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the National Champions Cup, a new domestic one-day tournament ahead of the 2027 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup.
Four teams will contest seven matches from August 11 to 18, all played at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The competition follows a single round-robin format with a final, featuring teams named Pakistan Gold, Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites and Pakistan Blues.
Captaining the four sides will be Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan, with squads picked by the national selection committee.
The tournament is meant to help gauge one-day talent depth ahead of the World Cup.
It is part of a wider domestic calendar revamp for the 2026-27 season, including an expansion of regional teams and changes to the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
